Norovirus at Teddington Memorial Hospital

Teddington Memorial Hospital.jpg

Teddington Memorial Hospital has some cases of norovirus on the Pamela Bryant Unit, where we have had to close a bay and two side rooms to new patients. We are asking visitors to stay away from the unit to prevent the spread of norovirus to other patients and staff.

Visitors to the rest of the hospital are asked to wash their hand with soap thoroughly and frequently to prevent the spread of infection. Use liquid soap and water, not alcohol hand rub, before visiting the hospital, after visiting the toilet, before eating and whenever they feel dirty.

Local people are asked not to attend any appointments, accompany patients, or attend the Walk-in Centre, a GP, or local A&Es if you or a member of your household has had diarrhoea and/or vomiting within the past 48 hours.
