Local people will have the chance to take part in a live web chat and pose questions to a team of NHS stop-smoking experts on all matters relating to smoking.
The webchat is one of the first in the UK to focus on smoking and will be hosted by the Sutton and Merton LiveWellService on Thursday 29 January, 6-7pm.
Over the last few years, the local stop smoking service has helped many people across the boroughs of Sutton and Merton on their way to quitting through this friendly, non-judgemental and practical lifeline.
The LiveWell team will be live online from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday to give advice, explain what the service can offer and even book your first appointment with the FREE smoking support service – which offers practical help from people who really understand what you’re going through.
People living in the boroughs of Sutton and Merton can also join a six week stop smoking programme either on a one-to-one basis or as part of a group.
The online chat will take place on Thursday 29 January at 6-7pm (for one hour), and the web-chat panel will comprise of Maria Gaiger, stop smoking advisor trainer, Andrew Stock, service manager and Jo Dorrell, counsellor who 25 years ago set up and established the first Stop Smoking Service for Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth Health.
