Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust has appointed Patricia Wright as chief executive with effect from 1 November 2016 – following a twelve month period as interim chief executive.
Patricia is a senior healthcare specialist with over 35 years’ experience within the healthcare sector. She began her career as a pharmacist and has worked at board level for the last 15 years – with extensive experience in the acute sector, primary care and within a large health authority in both professional and general management roles.
Prior to her role at Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Patricia was as chief executive of The Royal College of Physicians. She was previously chief executive of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust in Norfolk, and chief executive of NHS Kensington and Chelsea.
Announcing the appointment, Stephen Swords, chairman of Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust said:

Patricia was the outstanding candidate out of a strong pool of applicants – and I am confident her wealth of experience and leadership skills will ensure that the trust has a vibrant future ahead.
“Patricia has been the trust’s interim chief executive since October 2015. Over this time, the trust has gained enormously under her leadership, with a clear vision and direction of travel now in place to deliver outstanding care and services.
“The trust Board is delighted to appoint a substantive chief executive of Patricia’s calibre and we look forward to working with her to continue to develop community health services for local people across the boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond.”
Patricia Wright, chief executive said:

I look forward to working closely with staff, partners and local people across Hounslow and Richmond to ensure the trust continues to progress on our journey to deliver outstanding care and services for the communities we serve.”
The appointment has been made with the approval of NHS Improvement.
