13 November 2019

Antibiotic Awareness Week aims to tackle the over-use of antibiotics by increasing awareness of antibiotic resistance among healthcare professionals, the public and policy makers.

Public Health England hopes this will cut down the spread of antibiotic resistance. This year it is asking people and organisations to pledge to be Antibiotic Guardians.

By pledging to become an Antibiotic Guardian you’re asked to choose some simple actions to help cut the risk of resistance.

  • As a trust, we have pledged to raise awareness by:
  • promoting the campaign on social media
  • sharing an antibiotics quiz
  • asking employees to share information widely
  • posting material on our website
  • displaying and sharing Antibiotic Guardian information throughout the winter cold and flu season

What can you do?
