HRCH has formed a new partnership with Hounslow Council, primary care networks, and NWL CCGs, launching a joint Vaccine Bus round this week.
The tour started on Hounslow High Street and at other local venues, including supported accommodation and homeless hostels.
The initiative is led by a new health outreach team of NHS and local authority healthcare and engagement staff, offering the first, second and booster doses of vaccine to anyone aged 16 and over, 5 to 7 days a week until 31 March.
Over the coming weeks the bus will visit areas that are easily accessible to everyone, plus places where people have found it more difficult to get vaccinated.
The aim is to reduce health inequalities so more people can have the vaccine. The Health Outreach Team will also be able to talk about residents’ health more widely, as well as signposting people to the nearest vaccination clinic.
