We place great emphasis on the need for the strictest confidentiality in respect of our patients. We won't divulge any information about a patient unless we are given permission from the individual or where appropriate, their next of kin.
Requests for interviewing/photographing patients must be made through the communications team.
The communications team should be the first point of contact for all journalists contacting the trust.
Our staff are asked to refer any direct approaches from journalists to the communications team, so it is quicker and easier to start with us.
We understand media deadlines and can usually identify and contact the most appropriate staff member quickly. We aim to provide a prompt and up-to-date information service to the media.
Under no circumstances may interviews, filming or photography be carried out on our premises without the permission of the communications team.
