How we fit into the NHS

We are part of the National Health Service (NHS), which is the publicly funded healthcare system in the United Kingdom.

The NHS provides healthcare to anyone normally resident in the UK, with most services free at the point of use.

We are a community NHS provider and the services we run are purchased by commissioners, such as clinical commissioning groups, local authorities and NHS England.

People are normally referred to us from other parts of the NHS or from other professional groups, such as social services and education.

We work closely with social services, schools and voluntary organisations to provide our local communities with a comprehensive range of health services.

Our commissioners

Our main commissioners are:

Hounslow Clinical Commissioning Group

South West London Clinical Commissioning Group

All trusts are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, who make sure that the care provided meets high standards of safety and quality.

In our most recent inspection, Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust was rated as ‘Good’ across all services.
