Our bases are all ideally situated for travelling to central London, with the majority of our sites offering access to central London in about 30 minutes. The trust is well served by public transport, with extensive bus services and nearby mainline train stations.
Season ticket loans and parking permits
Whether you walk, cycle, drive or travel by public transport to work, we help make your journeys easier. We offer interest-free public transport season ticket loans to Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust employees, helping you spread out the costs of your travel to work.
If driving is essential, e.g. if you are an on-call worker, then you can apply for a car parking permit at some Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust sites.
Cycle to work scheme
Staff can save up to 40% when buying a bicycle and safety equipment through the trust's Cycle to Work Scheme, which is run under a salary sacrifice arrangement. The trust's scheme is administered by Cyclescheme.
Richmond features royal parks and historic houses, theatres, museums and galleries rich with exhibits. The town centre features a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The River Thames runs through the heart of the borough for 21 miles linking Hampton Court Palace, Richmond town centre and Kew Gardens with central London.
Hounslow has a large shopping centre which adjoins its high street and a large number of restaurants, cafés and small businesses.
The borough is well connected by public transport. It has vibrant town centres, including Chiswick, and high quality parks and open spaces such as Gunnersbury Park, Syon Park and Bedfont Lakes Country Park.
A childcare vouchers scheme is in place so parents can benefit from tax breaks. Savings can be around £1,000 per year.
There are a number of nurseries local to all trust sites where staff can benefit from discounts to NHS workers of up to 12%.
