The aim of the committee is to develop, implement and deliver the principles of the trust's Patient Involvement and Experience strategy.
The committee is chaired by our chief executive Frank Sims, and its membership includes a diverse range of trust staff and voluntary and community group representatives from Hounslow and Richmond.
During the last year the committee has concentrated on achieving the aims of the Patient Involvement and Experience Strategy 1 year action plan, some examples of this include:
Pilot Mystery Shopper type visit by two committee members to Teddington Memorial Hospital Walk-in Centre resulting in recommendations to improve patient access and experience
Trust staff awareness session to be provided by Richmond & Kingston ME Group
Trust website services directory update providing clearer and more accessible information – provision of ‘Word Bank’ to help make more sense of difficult words and jargon on trust website
Provision of ‘easy read’ Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) and Complaints patient information leaflets on trust website
Sharing of evidence of trust learning and improvement arising from concerns and complaints at each committee meeting
The committee meets on a quarterly basis (every 3 months). If you would like more information about the committee, including forthcoming meeting dates, please contact Robin Chapman, PALS and Patient Experience Manager on 020 8973 3100 or via email email@example.com
