Meet the team
Teresa Keegal - Richmond Clinical Community Dementia Specialist
Teresa has worked within community health services for over 30 years. This has included working in a rehabilitation team supporting early discharge home from hospital and as a District Nurse Team Leader within the Hounslow area of Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust. During this time she led several innovations including setting up leg ulcer clinics with protocols for care and introducing electronic record keeping and standardised careplans to enable consistency of care across the Trust. This work often bought Teresa in to contact with patients living with dementia as well as personal family experience of the disease.
Having spent the last 5 years managing the District Nursing teams Teresa has now returned to a clinical role to set up this innovative new service. The service aims to support the general health teams within the community caring for patients and their carers ensuring that they receive care for their dementia alongside any co-morbidities.
