The trust's Hounslow Wheelchair Service is attending the University of Westminster ‘Science for Survival’ conference on 22 March, to promote the importance of science and technology within the posture and mobility field.
The wheelchair team has a rehabilitation engineer and also a pre-registrant clinical scientist who have both come from engineering backgrounds and are involved in clinical assessment, design of custom equipment, electronics and research within the department. In addition the team includes BSc qualified therapists - including occupational therapists and physiotherapists who are HCPC (Health and Care Porfessions Council) registered.
