Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act became effective in 2000.  The Act allows members of the public to access information held by public authorities, subject to certain exemptions.

The Freedom of Act does not change the rights of patients to protect their confidentiality.

Publication scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act we have a legal obligation to produce a publication scheme - through which we pro-actively publish information and documents required by the Information Commissioner’s Office.

How to make a Freedom of Information (FoI) request:

All requests must be made in writing; this can be via email or letter.  It would be helpful to us if you could include the following information when making a request:

  • Name
  • The email address or correspondence address that the information should be sent to
  • A full and concise description of the information required

To submit a request via email, please send to:
foi@hrch.nhs.uk

To submit a request via post, please send to:

Information Governance Manager
Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust
Thames House
180 High Street
Teddington
TW11 8HU

We will respond within 20 working days to your request.  Where it is likely that we will not meet the deadline we will inform you as soon as possible.

Please note, some information held by us will remain protected and an exemption will be applied to the request.  Where an exemption applies, an explanation will be provided to you.
